Warranty Information

All of our products carry a full parts and labor warranty. These warranties are supplied directly by the manufacturer and therefore differ based on the product. All warranty work is handled directly by the manufacturer. If you are having trouble with any of our products, you may contact us or the manufacturer. Our products are not warranted for use outside of the United States and Canada, except for Mettler Toledo scales as noted below.

Refrigerators and Freezers

All refrigerators and freezers carry a 2-year parts and labor warranty.
Ultra Low Freezers (-40°C and -86°C) marked "Ultima" also carry a 5-year compressor warranty.
Ultra Low Freezers (-40°C and -86°C) marked "Elite" also carry a 4-year compressor warranty.
Ultra Low Freezers (-40°C and -86°C) marked "Value" also carry a 3-year compressor warranty.

Centrifuges

All centrifuges, rotors, and centrifuge accessories carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Hot Plates, Stirrers, and Stirring Hot Plates

Variomag Stirrers carry a 5-year parts and labor warranty.

Cimarec, Super-Nuova, and RT Hot Plates, Stirrers, and Stirring Hot Plates carry a 3-year parts and labor warranty.

Incubators

All Incubators carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Water Baths

All Water Baths carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Ovens

Lindberg Blue M Ovens carry a 2-year parts and labor warranty.

Precision Ovens carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Owl Electrophoresis

All Owl Electrophoresis systems carry a 3-year parts and labor warranty.

Furnaces

All Furnaces carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Shakers, Rockers, Rotators, Mixers

All MaxQ Shakers carry a 5-year parts, 1-year labor warranty. Furthermore, they carry a life-time warranty on the drive mechanism.

All other Shakers, Rockers, Rotators, and Mixers carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

Scales and Balances

All Mettler Toledo scales and balances carry a 1-year warranty. Their warranty is limited as follows:

a. The determination as to making a repair on site or at Mettler Toledo repair center shall be made by Mettler Toledo in advance of scheduling the repair.

b. If the Buyer requests the performance of warranty work provided for under the foregoing warranties during other than normal Mettler Toledo work periods, the Buyer shall be required to pay for all premium time.

c. If the Buyer requests the performance of warranty work provided for under the foregoing warranty outside of the contiguous United States or the Provinces of Canada, the Buyer shall be required to pay for labor, travel time, living, and travel expenses of any personnel required to perform such warranty work. Should any warrantable defect be found within the warranty period, parts will be furnished free of charge (ex works) point of origin or final distribution center.

d. These warranties shall not apply where the equipment has been subjected to accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, or failure on the part of the Buyer to ensure proper storage, operation and maintenance or in the case that installation or servicing of such equipment is made by other than Mettler Toledo Lab Service personnel, nor shall they apply to accessories, or consumables.

e. Products of other manufacturers sold by Mettler Toledo as such are warranted by Mettler Toledo only to the extent of any warranty provided by the original manufacturer, if any.

f. Mettler Toledo does not warrant the calibration of any device. Mettler Toledo does however warrant the equipment manufactured by it to be capable of being adjusted to meet Mettler Toledo’s printed specifications, if any, for accuracy as to the particular model/type device and for the period of warranty above stated.
