Thermo Scientific Thermolyne Premium Large Muffle Furnace features a robust design and a choice of four temperature controller models, making it perfect for industrial applications. This furnace provides a spacious 14L (0.5 cu ft) capacity and reaches a maximum of 1200°C, making it ideal for ashing organic and inorganic samples and conducting gravimetric analysis.

Features of the F6020C Furnace

Includes the B1 Controller (see below for more details on controllers). Single setpoint with one ramp and one dwell. The ramp is used to vary the heat-up rate to your specified setpoint. The furnace will then dwell (hold the temperature) at a set level for a specified time. Single display shows actual temperature or setpoint. A mechanical overtemperature protection relay is also included.

Four heating elements are located on the chamber top, bottom and sides for enhanced temperature uniformity

Built-in vent port removes undesirable contaminants and moisture to extend the life of the element and unit

Rear of chamber incorporates a 0.38-inch diameter port for monitoring chamber temperatures with independent measuring devices

Optional stainless-steel shelf doubles load capacity (maximum temperature of 900°C)

Door safety switch stops power to heating elements when door opens

Thermocouple break protection cuts power to the heating elements, preventing a thermocouple failure runaway condition

About the Controllers A1, B1, C1, D1

This furnace is available with four different controllers allowing various levels of control and programs. All of the controllers are digital. The F6020C has the B1 controller.

A1 - Single setpoint to hold a specified temperature. Single display shows the actual temperature or setpoint.

B1 - Single setpoint with one ramp and one dwell. The ramp is used to vary the heat-up rate to your specified setpoint. The furnace will then dwell (hold the temperature) at a set level for a specified time. Single display shows actual temperature or setpoint. A mechanical overtemperature protection relay is also included. You are viewing the B1 version.

C1 - Programmable with one (1) stored program of eight (8) segments. Each segment includes one ramp and one dwell, so you can program 8 ramp/dwell cycles. The ramp is used to vary the heat-up rate to your specified setpoint. The furnace will then dwell (hold the temperature) at a set level for a specified time. An LED display simultaneously shows both setpoint and actual furnace temperatures. A mechanical overtemperature protection relay is also included.

D1 - Programmable with four (4) stored program of sixteen (16) segments. Each segment includes one ramp and one dwell, so you can create four programs with 16 ramp/dwell cycles. The ramp is used to vary the heat-up rate to your specified setpoint. The furnace will then dwell (hold the temperature) at a set level for a specified time. An LED display simultaneously shows both setpoint and actual furnace temperatures. A mechanical overtemperature protection relay and RS-232 communications interface are also included.
